Workforce Development


Think about it. Healthcare workers make a life and death difference every day. Be part of a team that brings hope and comfort to the sick and elderly. Health services continue to be a leading employer in South Dakota and around the country. Allied health includes fields such as nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, pharmacy, medical laboratory technology, respiratory therapy, nutrition, radiologic technology and more! Career choices are virtually endless and salaries are competitive with other segments of business.

Careers in health care provide people with a great selection of positions in a variety of setting from which to choose. There are 60 hospitals and 115 skilled nursing facilities in South Dakota nearly all have openings in a variety of areas. Across the nation, there are nearly 7,000 hospitals and over 16,000 nursing facilities.
