SD HCAHPS Patient Satisfaction Report


Information about how patients view their hospital is available on the Hospital Quality Alliance’s public Web site, Hospital Compare (www.hospitalcompare.hhs.gov). Patient responses are compiled through the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems hospital survey, known as HCAHPS. The data is hospital-specific and reflects patients’ insights about key aspects of hospital care.

South Dakota hospital’s state ranking for the ten dimensions is addressed in the table below. Overall, South Dakota’s composite score ranked second in the nation.
